Description

Studio-grade PTZ, untethered

The Tail Air is a full 4K@30fps PTZ streaming camera built around a 1/1.8″ StarLight CMOS sensor (8.4MP, ƒ/1.8 aperture) — sharp, low-light-capable footage from a body that weighs just 344.5 g.

Wireless where it counts

Stream over NDI|HX3 via Wi-Fi or Ethernet — no capture card, no HDMI run across the room. Connect over USB-C, micro HDMI, or PoE Ethernet, whichever fits your setup. (NDI streaming requires the NDI activation license — sold separately or bundled depending on version.)

AI that frames the shot

AI subject tracking automatically pans, tilts and zooms to follow a presenter, host or performer — a 2-axis motorized gimbal with ±150° pan and -65° to 32° tilt, tracking movement at up to 120°/s.

Built for multicam

Designed to work alongside other Tail Air units or OBSBOT cameras for multi-angle live production — podcasts, panels, worship, classrooms, and full studio setups.

  1. Very Happy With the Video Quality and Tracking

I have been very happy with the OBSBOT camera so far. I purchased it to help livestream meetings and events, and it has worked really well for that purpose. The video quality is clear, the tracking features are impressive, and the setup was more manageable than I expected once I got familiar with the app and livestream settings.

I especially like how flexible it is for different use cases. It works well for a simple test stream, but it also feels capable enough for more formal meetings or public events. The camera movement and framing make the livestream look much more professional than using a basic webcam or phone setup.

There is a bit of a learning curve, especially with firmware updates, audio setup, and connecting to livestream platforms, but once everything is configured, the camera performs very well. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a compact, high quality camera for livestreaming, meetings, or event recording.

Q & A

Ask a question
Is there a wall mount for the OSBOT Tail Air? We want to make a "semi" permanent installation in our church. Thx. James asked on June 10, 2026

Hi James,

We regret to inform you that we don't offer official dedicated wall-mount parts for Tail Air currently.

It features a standard UNC 1/4-20 interface on the bottom. You can buy a matching mount from trusted shopping platforms, as long as the mount supports this specification.

Should you need further assistance, please contact us anytime.

Best regards,

Can I see in vivo online transmission from anywhere... Example: obs camera connected in mi home with wifi and I in another place with another pc conected to the internet can I see transmission of the obs camera Yainier asked on June 7, 2026

Hi Yainier,

Thank you for your question.

Unfortunately, you cannot access the live stream remotely using only an internet connection.

To view the feed, please ensure your computer and the camera (Tail series) are connected to the same local network (LAN). You will then be able to watch the stream normally.

Should you have any other questions, please feel free to reply to this email or contact our support team at service@obsbot.com.

Best regards,

Hi, I have the first edition Obsbot, as well as the SE Light. I am considering buying the Tail Air, but have a question for you. Can it be mounted on the ceiling, and pointed straight down. IE distributing an HDMI birds eye view straight down towards the floor? I want to make sure that the motors, gimbals, etc are made for functioning in that orientation. With kindest regards, John John Koukoutsas asked on March 14, 2026

Hello,

Yes, the OBSBOT Tail Air supports overhead shooting and can be mounted on the ceiling to capture a bird's-eye view straight down.
